We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Director to join the fund services arm of a leading investment group in Asia. As the Business Development Director, you will be responsible for driving new client acquisitions and increasing revenue in the Asia-Pacific region.

As Business Development Director, you will play a crucial role in shaping the company's growth strategy and expanding their client base. This position goes beyond traditional sales, offering the chance to be a key player in the company's success story.
Responsibilities:- Lead business development efforts for the fund services team, focusing on generating new revenue streams from fund managers and expanding existing client relationships
- Develop and maintain a strong network within the fund services industry, particularly with professionals serving hedge fund, private equity fund, real estate fund, and VC fund
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging your industry knowledge and relationships with fund service providers
- Create and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets in the fund administration space
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing fund clients under our administration in order to continuously uncover new business opportunities across all service lines.
- Manage the entire sales process, client onboarding, and investor services for fund clients.
- Collaborate with the senior management team to stay updated on new products and market trends.
- Conduct market outreach programs based on strategic initiatives.
- Cultivate and manage a network of third-party influencers and business contacts.
- Manage and progress a pipeline of new business opportunities.
- Keep abreast of the market trends and landscape, develop industry network and attend industry events
- Minimum of 5 to 7+ years of relevant experience in fund, financial solutions, and corporate solutions, preferably with an established fund administrator, financial service provider, or securities services provider.
- Proven experience in client services or relationship management function.
- Existing network of third-party influencers and business contacts preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of the financial market, including local and offshore funds markets
- Strong self-confidence and strategic mindset to lead and contribute to discussions with stakeholders at various seniority levels.
- Demonstrated sales skills and a track record of meeting targets.
- Proven experience in building and nurturing client relationships with senior figures.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin & English are essential.
- Working experience with Chinese background companies is a plus.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
