We are seeking a motivated Junior SPC Accountant to join the accounting team for real assets in Japan. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial operations of Special Purpose Companies (SPCs), ensuring compliance with local regulations, and supporting the broader investment management processes. Key Responsibilities:
- SPC Management:
- Maintain financial records and prepare reports for SPCs under management.
- Handle day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and cash management.
- Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Prepare financial statements and tax filings in compliance with Japanese regulations.
- Support audits, including liaising with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Coordination with Stakeholders:
- Work closely with asset managers, legal teams, and external service providers to ensure smooth SPC operations.
- Assist in managing budgets and forecasts for real asset portfolios.
- Process Improvement:
- Support the implementation of best practices for SPC accounting processes.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in real assets, SPC management, or investment firms.
- Knowledge of Japanese accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software.
- Fluency in Japanese (native level) and business-level English.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
